SOUTH PADRE ISLAND.- Se invita a los corredores y entusiastas del fitness a experimentar la emoción de la segunda edición anual de SPI Causeway Double Cross el sábado 22 de febrero de 2025.
Este desafío único de 10K ofrece a los participantes la oportunidad inolvidable de correr a través de la icónica Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway.

Organizada para mostrar la belleza natural de la isla y promover un estilo de vida activo, la SPI Causeway Double Cross acogerá a corredores de todos los niveles. Comenzando a las 7 a.m. en Beach Waterpark, los participantes se aventurarán a lo largo de Padre Boulevard y se abrirán camino a través de la calzada con el impresionante telón de fondo de la Bahía de Laguna Madre antes de llegar al final y dar la vuelta para regresar a la isla.
Cada participante que cruce la línea de meta recibirá una medalla conmemorativa, celebrando su logro al conquistar el pintoresco recorrido del puente.

Conquer the Queen Isabella Causeway During South Padre Island’s Second Annual Causeway Double Cross
Runners and fitness enthusiasts are invited to experience the thrill of the second annual SPI Causeway Double Cross on Saturday, February 22, 2025. This unique 10K challenge offers participants the unforgettable opportunity to run across the iconic Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway.
“We’re excited to bring back the SPI Causeway Double Cross for its second year,” said Blake Henry, Visit South Padre Island Executive Director.
“This race is more than just a run—it’s an experience that captures the beauty and excitement of our island while making a meaningful impact on the community. We welcome everyone to join us for this event.”
Organized to showcase the island’s natural beauty and promote an active lifestyle, the SPI Causeway Double Cross will welcome runners of all skill levels. Kicking off at 7 a.m. at Beach Waterpark, participants will venture along Padre Boulevard and make their way across the causeway with the stunning backdrop of the Laguna Madre Bay before reaching the end and turning back for a return journey to the island.
Each participant who crosses the finish line will receive a commemorative medal, celebrating their achievement in conquering the bridge’s scenic course. In addition, this event supports the Laguna Madre Youth Center. A portion of all proceeds will directly benefit this vital community organization, which provides educational and recreational programs for local youth.
