EMPRESAS MONTERREY/TEXAS.- South Padre Island, uno de los principales destinos de pesca del país, volverá a acoger el Torneo de Propietarios de Barcos Dargel los días 6 y 7 de junio de 2025.
Pescadores de todo el país se desplegarán por las hermosas aguas que rodean South Padre Island en busca de la gallineta más manchada.
“Dargel Boats es una empresa de Texas legendaria por sus embarcaciones planas de aguas poco profundas, por lo que es lógico que celebren este torneo en el destino pesquero más legendario de Texas”, dijo Blake Henry, Director Ejecutivo de Visit South Padre Island.
“Una vez que los competidores hayan terminado el torneo, podrán relajarse y disfrutar de las otras cosas que hacen de South Padre Island un destino único, como el buen tiempo y la vibrante escena gastronómica y nocturna”, dijo.
Las festividades del torneo comienzan el viernes 6 de junio a las 6:00 pm en el Centro de Convenciones de South Padre Island con una reunión de capitanes, cena, rifas y una revisión de las reglas del torneo.
La competición comienza a las 6:00 a.m. del sábado, 7 de junio, con un control de seguridad y la salida desde Jim’s Pier, 211 W. Swordfish St.
El pesaje concluye a las 3:00 p.m., tras lo cual los competidores se dirigirán de nuevo al centro de convenciones para los premios y para ver quién ha pescado la gallineta nórdica con más puntos.

South Padre Island to Host 2025 Dargel Boats Owner’s Fishing Tournament
South Padre Island, one of the country’s premier fishing destinations, will once again host the Dargel Boats Owner’s Tournament, June 6-7, 2025. Fishermen from across the country will fan out across the beautiful waters around South Padre Island in search of redfish with the most spots.
“Dargel Boats is a Texas-based company legendary for their shallow water flat boats, so it is only fitting that they hold this tournament in Texas’ most legendary fishing destination,” said Blake Henry, Visit South Padre Island Executive Director. “Once the competitors have finished the tournament, they can relax and enjoy the other things that make South Padre Island a unique destination such as the beautiful weather and vibrant dining and nightlife scene.”
Tournament festivities begin Friday, June 6th at 6:00 pm in the South Padre Island Convention Center with a captain’s meeting, dinner, raffles, and a review of the tournament rules. The competition begins at 6:00 am Saturday, June 7th, with a safety check and send off from Jim’s Pier, 211 W. Swordfish St. Weigh-in concludes at 3:00 PM, after which competitors will head back to the convention center for awards and to see who caught the redfish with the most spots!
